Install mIRC
If you do not have an up to date version of mIRC, then please download a new copy from mIRC first.
Then you can follow these step-by-step instructions.
1. Find and execute the mirc.exe you just downloaded from mIRC (e.g. double click on the mirc.exe file icon).
You should see this installer screen appear. Press the Next > button.
2. Read and review the license agreement from mIRC. This is an agreement between you and mIRC. If you accept its conditions, press Yes.
3. mIRC will offer to install the file in your standard Program Files folder. Also check the Install Options if you have a previous version of mIRC on your computer already.
Click Install when you're happy to proceed.
4. mIRC will start to install. A progress bar will show you how far through this process it is as it continues.
5. You will then see the "success" screen below if everything has worked ok.
If you'd like to install our IllumiMIRC extra features, then leave this window open and continue with the instructions below.
If you want to open mIRC straight away and not take advantage of the benefits of IllumiMIRC, then you can just click Finish.
Install IllumiMIRC
These simple instructions show you how to get the extra features provided by IllumiMIRC.
1. Download the IllumiMIRC install program
- IllumiMIRCexe.zip - Zipped version of .exe (197kB)
- IllumiMIRC.exe - executable installer (204kB)
2. Find and execute the IllumiMIRC.exe program. The following screen should appear. Click Next > to continue.
3. Read the License agreement for IllumiMIRC. Select if you agree or disagree with the terms and conditions and then press Next >.
4. Choose the directory that you have installed mIRC into. If you didn't change the default choice before, then you do not need to change anything here.
Press Next > to continue.
5. This is a confirmation screen. If you are happy for the installer to start installing then click Start.
6. If successful, this screen will appear. Click Next > to continue.
7. This is just an advert for the Install program we chose to you. You can click Exit to complete the process.
8. Now return to the mIRC installer window which you left open earlier, and click Finish.
